About Us
The Health AI for All Network (HAINet) is a growing network of individuals and organizations dedicated to developing, implementing, and promoting artificial intelligence technologies to improve health outcomes—particularly for people in resource-limited settings.
HAINet's vision is a world where the benefits of Health AI accrue to all of humanity, and especially to people in resource-limited settings. HAINet aims to achieve this vision by enabling resource-limited settings to address their health services needs by catalysing their transition from mere consumers to net producers of scientific knowledge, tools, and technologies in Health AI.
Our Mission
- Build a global network and ecosystem to advance Health AI that benefits all of humanity.
- Create a shared global agenda to advance Health AI to help improve health outcomes for all people across the world.
- Foster collaborative global action on Health AI to address pressing health challenges equitably.
- Advance the Network's goals by means of physical and digital media and content curation, knowledge brokerage, advocacy, and educational activities.
HAINet was conceived and operationalised in 2023-2024 by a group of health professionals and AI researchers in developing countries as a platform to bring together experts and stakeholders who are working to harness the transformative potential and opportunity presented by artificial intelligence in solving pressing health problems, particularly in parts of the world where health services are not adequately available. In January 2025, HAINet held its first annual conference—the Health AI for All Conference in Kathmandu, Nepal.
HAINet’s secretariat is located in Kathmandu, Nepal and it is registered as a not-for-profit entity in Nepal and in the United Kingdom.
